Action against polluting factories to begin after Eid-ul-Azha: Saber

Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Saber Hossain Chowdhury today said tannery industries of Savar would not allow pollute environment considering the public health.
Timeline will be enforced to start setting up Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) in the factories, he said while addressing a special meeting on controlling pollution of BSCIC Tannery Industrial Estate at its auditorium at Hemayetpur.
Saber said the activities of cancelling environment clearance of illegal factories will begin after Eid-ul-Azha. The environment ministry and industries ministry have agreed to work on the issue to curb pollution, he said.
