Gazi TV newsroom editor body recovered from Hatirjheel lake

The body of a newsroom editor of Gazi TV was recovered from Hatirjheel lake in the capital late at night (28 August).
The deceased was identified as Rahanuma Sarah, Inspector (investigation) of Hatirjheel Police Station Sharif Niazi confirmed the matter to The Shuttle Times.
Rahanuma was taken to the emergency department of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 2am where the on-duty doctor declared her dead, Mohammad Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police camp told The Shuttle Times.
Her body was sent to the DMCH morgue, he added.
A passerby named Mohammad Sagar told reporters that he saw a woman body floating in the Hatirjheel lake.
He then rescued her and took her to the hospital where she was declared dead.
Her office ID was on her at the time.
