Steel, iron leaders urge Chief Adviser Dr Yunus to remove tariff complications

Steel and iron industry leaders today (17 August) called for the removal of tariff complications in import of raw materials and capital equipment.
At a meeting of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) Standing Committee on Iron, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Re-rolling Industries, they urged the interim government headed by Dr Muhammad Yunus to take necessary steps in this regard.
FBCCI President Mahbubul Alam, who participated virtually as the chief guest, stressed the importance of the iron and steel industry in developing the economy of the country.
