Prof Dr. Melita joins BAT Bangladesh Board

BAT Bangladesh has appointed Professor Dr. Melita Mehjabeen as its new Independent Director in a board meeting held on 12th November 2024. With about 20 years of proven track record in academia, research, financial services, consulting, and board roles, Professor Mehjabeen brings both professional and institutional knowledge and expertise to the board.
Professor Mehjabeen, PhD, has established herself as a distinguished academic, recognized for creating dynamic and engaging learning environments for her students and her unwavering commitment to education and professional development. As a tenured faculty member at IBA, Dhaka University, the premier business school in Bangladesh, she has been teaching a wide range of courses on finance, accounting, ethics and leadership courses.
Her passion for corporate governance and sustainability has not only guided her teaching but also shaped her professional career. Professor Mehjabeen earned her PhD from the University of Manchester, UK, focusing on CSR reporting practices in Bangladesh.
