Voter iist update begins

A meeting was held at the Bera Upazila Parishad on Monday to discuss the voter list update campaign. The program, which commenced on the same day, will continue until February 3, 2025.
As part of the campaign, information collectors appointed by the Election Commission will visit every household to gather necessary documents. These include a 17-digit online birth certificate, a copy of the national ID card, a recent photograph, proof of close blood relation, an education certificate, and a copy of a utility bill.
Authorities have issued a reminder that each person is allowed to register on the voter list only once to ensure transparency and avoid duplication.
The meeting was presided over by Md. Murshidul Islam, UNO of Bera Upazila, and conducted by the Upazila Election Officer. Prominent attendees included Md. Abdul Hannan, President of Bera Press Club; Fazlur Rahman Fakir, President of Bera Poura BNP; local elites; the Principal of Bera Technical College; and many others who addressed the gathering.
