Youth sentenced to death for killing roommate in Ctg

A court here today awarded capital punishment to a youth for stabbing to death his roommate in 2017.
Judge of the Chattogram Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court Begum Serajam Munira handed down the verdict convicting Md Hossain,20, son of late Rafiqul Islam, hailed from Sandwip Upazila of the district.
The court also awarded Taka 30,000 as fine to him, in default, he will have to suffer more one year imprisonment.
The prosecution story in brief is that Md Hossain, stabbed to death to his roommate, a day labourer Maksudur Rahman Maksud, over a previous enmity at Halishahor area in the night of March 13 in 2017.
