11 get life-term jail for killing UP member in Lakshmipur

LAKSHMIPUR: A court here today sentenced 11 persons to life- term imprisonment in the murder case of Khorshed Alam Miron, a member of Dattapara Union Parishad under Sadar upazila of the district, in 2019.
Judge of Lakshmipur District and Sessions Judge Court Md Rahibul Islam pronounced the verdict this afternoon.
The court also fined them Taka 20,000 each, in default, they will have to suffer one year more in jail, Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Jasim Uddin said.
