Nearly 250 attend Hands Off! rally at courthouse

Demonstrators took to the streets Saturday in over 1,200 Hands Off! rallies nationwide protesting the current administration, initiatives spearheaded by the newly-created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and presidential advisor Elon Musk.
Although a Knoxville rally was already scheduled, Meg, the organizer for the Maryville rally, said she wanted to give Blount County residents somewhere closer to be able to protest.
“I know I have to go to work after this,” said Meg as the rally was winding down to its final hour. “And I dont think I couldve made it to Knoxville and back in time.”
