Fakhrul breaks own record of lying over Padma Bridge: Hasan
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Tuesday said the BNP secretary general has broken his own record of lying through spreading falsehood over the laying foundation stone of the Padma Bridge.
“I saw on facebook status that Mirza Fakhrul was sure to have something . . . That’s why he told like this way. But I’m sure that he didn’t take anything like many others. He is a gentleman,” he said.
The minister added: “But, not taking anything he (Fakhrul) broke the record of telling lies by saying over the establishing of foundation stone of the Padma Bridge. In fact, they became crazy as the much-awaited Padma Bridge has been made.”
Hasan told reporters after addressing the closing ceremony and certificate distribution function of a day-long workshop at Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) seminar room in the capital.
Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) organized the workshop on ‘Development Reporting on Children Issues’ for its district-level correspondents and other journalists.
BSS Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad presided over the meeting while PIB Director General Zafar Wazed and Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust Managing Director Subhash Chanda Badal and BSS Managing Editor Anisur Rahman spoke it as special guests.
Later, the minister handed over certificates among the participants.
