NASA Group chairman properties seized, shares frozen

ACC filed case

A court in Dhaka on Thursday ordered the seizure of six houses and eight plots in Purbachal belonging to NASA Group Chairman Nazrul Islam Majumder, along with the freezing of 56,06,58,000 shares across his 55 companies.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md. Zakir Hossain Ghalib issued recently the order in response to the plea filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The seized immovable assets include - Plot No. 47, Gulshan South Commercial, Gulshan Model Town Residential Area and a 14-storey building located on the plot, with a value of Tk 50 crore.
Besides, plot No. 3, SE (D) Block, Gulshan Model Town Residential Area and a 14-storey house located on the plot, with a market value of Tk 70 crore.
In addition, a two-storey house worth Tk 4 crore, a four-storey house worth Tk 6 crore, and a house worth Tk 4 crore in Mohakhali, while a three-storey building worth Tk 50 crore in Tejgaon industrial area.
