Gildan spreads kindness this Ramadan with JAAGO Foundation

Gildan, a globally renowned apparel manufacturer recognised for its dedication to sustainability and community involvement, reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility by organising a large-scale iftar distribution program in collaboration with the JAAGO Foundation and Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD). Through this initiative, Gildan employees actively participated in providing nutritious meals to underprivileged communities surrounding its facilities.
A total of 3,500 iftar meal packets were distributed across three key locations. Meal packets were distributed on March 17 in Gulshan, Dhaka, on March 19 in AK Khan Road, Chattogram, and on March 21, in Savar. These meals, carefully prepared to offer a balanced diet, included a heavy meal along with plums, dates, bananas, yogurt, and water, ensuring that beneficiaries—low-income families, daily wage earners, and individuals facing economic hardship—could break their fast with dignity.
This impactful initiative was made possible by the dedication of more than 350 Gildan employees, alongside 95 participants from JAAGO and VBD, who came together to distribute meals and engage directly with the communities in need. The participation of Gildan employees not only strengthened the company commitment to social good but also showcased the power of collective action in making a meaningful difference.
