Pakistan Day observed in Dhaka

The High Commission for Pakistan in Bangladesh hosted a grand reception last night to commemorate the 85th National Day of Pakistan with elegance and enthusiasm.
Held at a local hotel, the reception drew over 400 guests, including members of the diplomatic corps, political parties, business community , media, academics and Pakistani diaspora in Bangladesh.
Advisor on Education, Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In their speeches, High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof and Chief Guest Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in trade, connectivity, cultural linkages, and people-to-people exchanges. They also acknowledged with appreciation the recent positive momentum in bilateral cooperation across various areas of mutual interest.
The Chief Guest on his behalf and behalf of the government and people of Bangladesh extended warm felicitations to the people and government of Pakistan on their National Day. The audience was enthralled by vibrant cultural performances presented by artists from all regions of Pakistan, beautifully showcasing Pakistan rich diversity, colorful traditions, and cultural harmony.
A Coffee table book on Pakistan travel and tourism titled “From Summit to the Sea” published in both English and Bangla languages was also launched during the event. The High Commissioner described the book as a gift for the people of Bangladesh, expressing hope that it would inspire Bangladeshi readers to explore Pakistan stunning landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture.
The High Commissioner expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, government officials, diplomatic community, members of media, Pakistani diaspora and all other guests for joining the national day celebration.
