Vested group running global campaign: Touhid

Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on Monday said that a vested group is trying to run a global campaign on the Bangladesh situation and create an anarchy to impact the brand image in abroad.
He also said Bangladesh wants to see a friendly and normal relationship with India, noting that he sees West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remark as usual that goes with her.
"I see this as Mamata-like remarks," he said while responding to a question at a media briefing.
Indian media on Monday reported that West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee urged the central government to seek the deployment of a peacekeeping mission by the Union Nations in Bangladesh to tackle the ongoing situation there.
