Dhaka keen to boost ties with New Delhi: CA Press Secy
Bangladesh is interested to enhance relations with India, Chief Adviser Press Secretary Shfiqul Alam said today.
"We have linguistic, historic and cultural linkages with India. We, of course, want to reach our relations in a better position with India to benefit both the people," he told a press briefing at Foreign Service Academy here this evening.
Alam, however, said the Bangladesh-India relations should be based on equity, fairness and dignity. India is a big neighbour of Bangladesh while it shares many rivers with India, he said.
About the issues to be highlighted at Bangladesh-India Foreign Secretary meet to be held in Dhaka, the press secretary said all issues related to mutual interest will be discussed during the meeting.
