Govt to print more 12.81cr textbooks for class-IV, V, IX, X,

The government today approved separate proposals for procurement of some 12,80,64,624 copies of textbooks for distributing free of cost among students of class - IV, V, IX and X for the academic year 2025.
The approval came from this year 16th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) held at the Cabinet Division conference room at Bangladesh Secretariat with Adviser to the interim government on the Ministry of Finance Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, he said the meeting has approved a proposal of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) under the Secondary and Higher Secondary Division for the printing, binding and supplying of 6,28,51,540 copies of text books for secondary (Bangla and English versions, 9th class), Dakhil (9th class) and Technical (9th class) education through 211 bidders at a cost of around Taka 525.34 crore.
