Govt will not spare syndicates involved in destabilising rice market: Sadhan
Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder has given a note of warning saying that no one will be spared if they try to destabilize the market by increasing the price of rice.
"The government remains vigilant to keep the market price of rice stable. Attempts to increase the price of rice with excuses will not be tolerated," he said while speaking at the virtual inauguration ceremony of the Aman paddy and rice-procurement programme of the current season as the chief guest, said a press release.
Around 60 percent of paddy has already been harvested, he said, adding that new paddy has started to hit the market.
