Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed put a gem of fast bowling show to guide Bangladesh to a six-wicket win over Zimbabwe in the second T20 International at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.
Bangladesh won the first match by eight wickets and now take 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
Taskin followed his 3-14 with 2-18 in this match as Zimbabwe amassed paltry 138-7, a total that Bangladesh hunted down in 18.3 overs by scoring 142-4.
Towhid Hridoy struck 25-ball 37 not out with three fours and two sixes to hasten the victory.
Mahmudullah who confirmed the victory with an elegant cover-drive for boundary, was unbeaten on 26 off 16.
When opener Liton Das and Tanzid Hasan put on 41 runs, it appeared that Bangladesh would seal another easy victory.
