Journo should reject missinfo: Arafat

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust (BJWT) Mohammad Ali Arafat has called upon media journalists to reject all kind of misinformation and rumour free mass media that will ensure free flow of authentic information to hold the authorities accountable.
The state minister made these statements while he was speaking as a chief guest of the opening ceremony of the third phase welfare grant and financial assistance cheque distribution from the BJWT in the FY 2023-24, was held at Information Bhavan auditorium on Circuit House Road in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
The government wants to ensure the space for mass media to question and criticize the authorities and even the government, but it (criticism) must have to be based on factually correct information, Arafat said.
