Due to Bangla Blockade movement
Dhaka metro rail compartments were seen packed with commuters on Wednesday across the capital amid a road, rail and waterways blockade for Bangla Blockade movement.
This correspondent boarded the metro rail at Uttara north station at 9:10am and reached Farmgate at 9:30 am, a 20-minute journey that was over crowded.
Nasir Uddin Ahmed, director (operations and maintenance) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited said, huge rush were seen for ongoing movement.
All six coaches of the train were seen fully packed with office-going commuters. On the metro rail, this correspondent spoke to some fellow commuters.
