Commuters suffer as city in traffic knots

Metro rail suspension

Commuters woes worsened this morning as several parts of the city were in knots due to increasing traffic congestion.
Contacted, Assistant Commissioner of Traffic in the Shahbagh zone Mehedi Hasan Shakil attributed the gridlock to the metro rail suspension along the Agargaon-Motijheel route.
Several other traffic officials, posted at Agargaon and Ramna area, told TBS that traffic congestion surged after the metro rail disruption which happened this morning at around 9:40am due to technical issues.
