Mild heat wave sweeps parts of country: BMD
A mild heat wave is sweeping parts of the country and it may abate from some places, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
“A mild heat wave is sweeping Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions and Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Kishoregonj, Narayangonj, Sylhet, Feni, Jashore and Chudanga districts and it may abate from some places,” said a BMD bulletin on Monday.
It also forecast rain or thundershowers across the country in 24 hours commencing 9 am.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy fall at places over the country,” it said.
