n a bid to stabilise the rising prices of eggs, the government has imported about 2.31 lakh eggs from India through the Benapole land port in Jashore. "The third consignment of 231,840 eggs arrived at the port today [6 October], " Masudur Rahman, revenue officer at the Customs Check Post Cargo Branch, told The Shuttle Times. He said the eggs would be cleared from the port as soon as possible after inspection.
