Govt completes 40km fencing of Sundarbans for tiger conservation
The forest department has completed nylon net fencing of 40 kilometers area of Sundarbans, the world largest mangrove forest, to help the conservation of tigers and protect local people from the attack of this ferocious animal, an official said.
The forest authorities will start fencing more 20 kilometers soon.
The move is part of the Bangladesh Forest Department three-year Sundarbans Tiger Conservation Project, launched in March 2022 and will end in March 2025, forest officials said.
