Call for breaking syndicate controlling transport of goods on river-routes

Shipping adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hussain today said measurers would be taken to break syndicate of middlemen controlling goods transportation via rive-routes.
“To pursue the efforts, the shipping ministry will soon announce a Goods Transportation Policy, 2024 and ensure its proper execution,” he said during a meeting with a delegation of Bangladesh Cargo Vessels Owners Association (BCVOA) at his ministry office here.
BCVOA president Syeed Ahmed led the delegation at the meeting.
