BGL achieves phenomenal growth tapping into imo Channel

BGL Overseas Ltd.-BGL Overseas, a popular recruiting agency based in Dhaka, has registered remarkable growth after joining ‘Channel’, a free broadcast platform for service and information introduced by popular instant messaging app imo. BGL Overseas is a government-approved recruiting agency in Bangladesh, which is involved in the recruitment and supply of manpower from Bangladesh to different companies based in the Middle East and Asia.

A partnership agreement with BRAC and USAID

Caption News: A partnership agreement on "Increasing livestock productivity through the provision of better Artificial Insemination (AI) services for livestock" was signed by the USAID-funded Feed the Future Bangladesh Livestock and Nutrition Activity and the BRAC Artificial Insemination (AI) Enterprise. As part of this partnership, BRAC AI Enterprise will carry out a number of activities to improve the artificial insemination service, including an Inception workshop, baseline study, training for new AI service providers, refresher training for current AISPs, awareness programs, programs to promote products, establishment of model dairy farmers, Veterinary Health Camp, Mobile Veterinary Clinics, and Progeny shows, among others. improving the activity of female AI service providers and facilitating their easy access to motorcycle driving through facilities for professional training. Subrata appointed WITSA Regional VC

Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) President Eng. Subrata Sarkar has been appointed Vice Chairman (VC) of the Asia and Pacific Region of the World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).
On Sunday night (July 3) WITSA Secretary General Dr. James H. Poisant in an e-mail message officially informed Engineer Subrata Sarkar about his appointment as WITSA Regional Vice Chairman.
WITSA, an international IT organization comprising IT organizations from 80 countries, promotes international trade and investment in IT products and services through its global network.
WITSA Regional Vice Chairman and BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar hoped that he would continue to work for the overall advancement of investment, development and prosperity in the IT sector in the Asia / Pacific region.

Banglalink holds seminar on startup ecosystem

Banglalink holds seminar on startup ecosystem Banglalink has held a seminar titled “Road to New Digital Ecosystem – Developing Tech Entrepreneurs” in collaboration with Startup Bangladesh on Monday at BCC auditorium in Agargaon. NM Zeaul Alam PAA, Senior Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division, were present at the seminar as the Chief Guest. Sami Ahmed, Managing Director, Startup Bangladesh Limited and Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink, were also present at the seminar.
The speakers discussed how the local startup ecosystem can benefit from AppLink, a digital service marketplace recently launched by Banglalink. A digital marketplace like Applink can help app developers use necessary tools to monetize their apps. The speakers also spoke about the role of digital service providers like Banglalink in developing local startups and encouraging digital entrepreneurs.
The seminar started with an opening speech by Taimur Rahman, followed by a presentation on Banglalink. Sami Ahmed, Managing Director, Startup Bangladesh Limited and NM Zeaul Alam PAA, Senior Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division, also delivered their speeches on the country’s startup scenario. The seminar concluded with a Q&A session and a crest giving ceremony.
