
Ami Probashi, a leading digital platform dedicated to simplifying the migration journey for Bangladeshi workers, has partnered with Shikho, one of the largest e-learning platforms in Bangladesh. This collaboration aims to provide exclusive learning materials and courses tailored for aspiring migrant workers, enabling them to gain essential skills and knowledge for a successful transition abroad.
The partnership will integrate a range of courses onto the Ami Probashi platform, offering migrants access to language training in Arabic and other foreign languages, plane etiquette, airport training, and other crucial resources designed specifically for migrant communities. In addition, Shikho expansive catalog of educational videos and training materials will also be available to Ami Probashi users, enriching their access to top-quality learning opportunities.
This initiative aligns with Ami Probashi mission of digitalizing the migration process to reduce costs and increase efficiency. By providing these resources, the platform seeks to empower users with essential skills that make them more competitive in the global job market.

The Online Editors Alliance, a platform for the heads of online and digital divisions of the country leading online news media, newspapers and television outlets in Bangladesh, was officially launched on Thursday (December 12).
Hasan Sharif, Online Editor of Daily Naya Diganta, was elected as President, while Mizanur Rahman Sohel, Head of Online at Daily Bhorer Kagoj, was appointed as General Secretary. The alliance also formed a 13-member executive committee for a one-year term.
The announcement was made during a meeting attended by representatives from 35 prominent media organizations. It marks a significant step towards enhancing coordination, experience sharing, and skill development in digital journalism.
Lutfor Rahman Himel of Banglanews24.com and KM Zeaul Haque of Jagonews24.com were named Vice Presidents. M A H M Kabir Ahmad of RTV Digital and Kamrul Islam Rubel of DBC Television were appointed Joint Secretaries.
Other officials include Palash Mahmud of Daily Kalbela as Organizing Secretary, Sharafat Hussain of Daily Ittefaq as Assistant Organizing Secretary, Moin Bakul of Amader Shomoy as Finance Secretary, and Masud Bin Abdur Razzak of Deepto TV as Office Secretary.

For the first time, Accounting has made it into the top 10 jobs for Bangladeshi migrants, with almost 13,000 accountants travelling abroad between January and June, signifying a growing demand for skilled workers from Bangladesh. Ami Probashi, a Bangladeshi digital platform designed to promote transparency, reduce migration costs, and speed up migration, has published its half-yearly report on migrating workers. The report also finds Saudi Arabia the most preferred destination for workers, as last year.
The first six months of the 2024 alone witnessed a robust migration, with over 500,000 workers flying abroad for employment. Among this half a million, approximately 250,000 migrant workers chose Saudi Arabia as their preferred destination between January and June.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become the country of choice for most migrant populations. The availability of skilled and unskilled work from the Kingdom leaders intense focus on local infrastructure development is thought to have made Saudi Arabia a promising destination. Malaysia claimed the second spot, with almost 93,000 working migrants flying to the country within the same period. Qatar wraps up the top 3 list with 39,517 migrants flying into the country for this period.
Ami Probashi report also highlight the category of work most of these people are migrating for. Almost 80% of migrant workers, which is 150,000 workers, fall into the general skill type, which includes a mix of skilled and unskilled work.
