Kohinur Chemical pays Tk two lakh for using foreign artiste in ad

Kohinur Chemical Company, a production organization, has finally paid Taka two lakh as due fees for using foreign artiste in advertisement.
The company has recently made an ad of soap where they used foreign model. And it was noticed by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
The ministry has instructed the company to deposit the fee of Taka two lakh fixed by the government through a challan to the specific financial code of the ministry, said a release here today.

Indo-Bangla Coast Guards zonal commander-level meeting held

BAGERHAT: A zonal commander-level meeting between the Bangladesh Coast Guard and Indian Coast Guard was held through video conference today.
On behalf of Bangladesh Coast Guard, West Zone Zonal Commander Captain Mohammad Kibria Haque, its headquarters Director (Operations) Captain Faiz Uddin Ahmed and senior officials joined the meeting, a press release of Bangladesh Coast Guard said today.

DNCRP for keeping receipt in green coconut trade

The Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection (DNCRP) has laid emphasis on keeping receipt in buying and selling of green coconut otherwise strict action will be taken for it.
The directorate made the observation today at an awareness meeting on "Buying and selling of green coconut at a logical price" at its head office in the city, said a press release here.
DNCRP Director General (DG) AHM Shafiquzzaman presided over the meeting while its officials and related traders were present there.

The Vice Chancellor was addressing a discussion at the graveyard of Kazi Nazrul marking the 47th death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam at Dhaka University Campus.
