    Supriya appointed as new BUH for Sheetfed of Seigwerk Bangladesh
    Siegwerk, a global leader in packaging and printing inks and coatings, has announced the appointment of Ms. Supriya Srivastava to serve as the Business Unit Head for Sheetfed for Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka.
    In her new capacity, Supriya will spearhead the teams in the region, driving the execution of both global and local business unit strategies.
    Ms. Srivastava, a seasoned industry veteran with close to 2 decades of experience, has demonstrated remarkable success in executing business expansion strategies in the B2B space, specifically in packaging, food, and farm automation.
    Supriya is a highly capable business leader with an excellent track record across multiple leading companies. Commencing her career at Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (Chennai) as the Head of the Product Promotion Department, Supriya has accumulated a wealth of experience through various roles at Tilda, Avery Dennison, and, most recently, AptarGroup, where she served as the Director of Sales & Marketing, Beauty & Closures, India.
    In her new role at Siegwerk Bangladesh, Supriya will play a pivotal role in defining the long and mid-term strategy for the Sheetfed business unit, managing a highly experienced team of professionals across functions including Sales, Technology and Operations.

    3 dead, 2 critically hurt in central Canada shooting
    OTTAWA: Three people were killed and two critically injured after a shooting in Winnipeg, the capital city of Manitoba in central Canada, local police said on Sunday.
    Winnipeg police arrived at the scene and found five victims "with injuries consistent with being shot," said the local police in a news release.
    An adult male and an adult female were pronounced dead at the scene, it said, adding that three of the victims were taken to a hospital, and one of those victims later died while the other two remained in critical condition.

    India bid to free 41 trapped workers enters third week
    SILKYARA TUNNEL , India: India military brought in specialised equipment Sunday as efforts to free 41 trapped workers entered a third week, with digging ongoing in three directions after repeated setbacks to the operation.
    The Indian air force said Sunday that they were "responding with alacrity", as they flew in their third load to a rescue operation since the partial collapse of the under-construction Silkyara road tunnel on November 12 in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand.
