We could have done well if there was no injury issue: Miraz

All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz believes Bangladesh could have done well in the Asia Cup if they could play the whole tournament without any injury issue.
"The result could have been different had we fielded a full strength team from the beginning. We hope that all of the players will recover from the injury and we will go to the world Cup with good mindset," Miraz said after Bangladesh team arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today from Colombo.

FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia finished seventh position in the open category of the Tata Steel Asian Junior (U-20) Chess Championships that concluded today (Friday) in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.
FM Tahasin Tajwar Zia finished 7th position with six points from nine games. FM Manon Reja Neer is finished twenty sixth place with 4.5 points and Aiyan Rahman became fifty eight with one point.

Australia police ready to assist with Rubiales investigation

SYDNEY: Australian police said Monday they are willing to help Spanish investigators probing sexual assault allegations levelled against Spain outgoing football supremo Luis Rubiales.
Rubiales was widely condemned after footage emerged showing him kissing Spanish player Jenni Hermoso on the lips following the team victory in the Women World Cup final in Sydney last month.
