Tigers return home after disappointing World Cup

After a hugely disappointing World Cup mission, Bangladesh national cricket team returned home today almost silently on a special chartered flight of ICC from Pune.
The special flight carrying the Tigers landed at 10 AM.
Bangladesh lost seven out of their nine matches in the World Cup, making it their worst ever mission in the cricket biggest extravaganza for the first time since 2007. They were in fact the first team in this World Cup to be eliminated from the semifinal race.

Saudi Arabia is prepared to host the 2034 World Cup in summer or winter, its football chief told AFP, after the oil giant became the sole bidder for the tournament.
"Of course, we are ready for all possibilities," Saudi Arabian Football Federation president Yasser al-Misehal said late on Tuesday at the Asian Football Confederation awards in Doha.
Saudi Arabia apparently successful bid, just 27 days after announcing it, comes less than a year after neighbouring Qatar held the first winter World Cup, a decision that forced a pause to league competitions in Europe.
