Four more matches of V-Day handball held

Four more men and women section matches of the Victory Day Handball competition (men and women) were decided on the second day (Monday) at Shaheed Captain Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city.
In the men section matches, Border Guard Bangladesh beat Team Handball by 51-11 goals after leading the first half by 25-3 goals while Bangladesh Police Handball Club defeated Ideal Handball Garden by 42-28 goals after dominating the first half by 21-11 goals.

Nahida wins ICC player of the month award

Left-arm spinner Nahid Hasan scripted a history by becoming the first Bangladesh woman cricketer to win the ICC Player of the Month award for her brilliant performance in November.
She beat compatriot Fargana Hoque and Pakistan Sadia Iqbal to achieve the accolade.
"This is a moment to cherish," a highly elated Nahid described her reaction after winning the award.

Army chief unveils Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2024 logo

Chief of Army Staff and Bangladesh Olympic Association President General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed today unveiled the logo of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2024 at the Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment.
At the function, the army chief said: "Bangladesh is progressing along with our sports arena. The main goal of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon- 2024 is to present the Bengali ethnicity, tradition and culture before the world and encourage the youth to lead a healthy lifestyle in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman."

BPBS 4th annual convention to be held tomorrow

The fourth annual convention of Bangladesh Professional Boxing Society (BPBS) and Bangladesh Professional Boxing Association will be held tomorrow (Friday) at Bangladesh Olympic Association Auditorium.
Mozaffar Hossain Paltu, member of Bangladesh Awami League Advisory Council, senior politician and chief advisor of BPBS, will be present as the chief guest in the convention, chaired by Md. Asaduzzaman, the founding chairman of BPBS.
