FIFA suspend Spanish football chief Rubiales after Hermoso kiss

BARCELONA: FIFA suspended Luis Rubiales as president of Spain football federation on Saturday for kissing Spanish Women World Cup player Jenni Hermoso on the lips, and banned him from making contact with her.
"(We) decided today to provisionally suspend Mr. Luis Rubiales from all football-related activities at national and international level," said world football governing body in a statement, explaining it would last 90 days, pending their disciplinary proceedings.

Sheikh Kamal U-18 Club Cup (sevens) Rugby competition has begun from today (Friday) at Paltan ground adjoining Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
Youth and Sports Ministry additional secretary Md Nazrul Islam formally inaugurated the two-day meet as the chief guest, organised by Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union (BRFU).
Tournament committee chairman and BRFU joint secretary Sayeed Ahmed, tournament committee secretaries Sirajul Islam (men section) and Noor-e Afroz (women section), were present, among others, in the opening ceremony.

GM Ziaur finishes 13th in Abu Dhabi Intl Chess

GM Ziaur Rahman finished 13th place in the 29th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival, Masters event held in the city of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
GM Ziaur Rahman earned six points out of nine games and tied for the eighth place and eventually he finished 13th place in the tie-breaking system.
IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman became 79th with 4.5 points, FM Tahsin Tazwar Zia became 113th with 3.5 points and GM Enamul Hossain Razib became 123rd with three points.
