Huawei South Asia Digital Power Department recently hosted a two-day event titled "Huawei
Data Center Symposium: Powering the Future of Digital Finance & Enterprises". The symposium
was attended by more than 60 distinguished bank customers and 150 enterprise customers,
alongside industry luminaries and experts. This customer-centric symposium stands as a pivotal
moment, aimed at disseminating knowledge and raising awareness among Bangladeshi
customers about cutting-edge data center solutions and the transformative potential of ICT.
The event was held recently at the Huawei Bangladesh Academy. The event was graced by Mr.
Liang Weixing (Jack), Managing Director of Huawei South Asia Digital Power Business
Department, and Liu Jinping (Jimmy) Partner Development Director of APAC Digital Power
Partner & Ecosystem Development Department.
Mohammad Gholam Kawsaen (Khokon), Solution Manager Data Center & Critical Power Facility
of South Asia Digital Power Business Department, Huawei, presented Huawei's Data Center
solutions, including Modular and Prefabricated Data Centers, Smart Critical Power Supply
Solutions, Smart Cooling Solutions, Smart DC Management System DCIM+, and Data Center
Case Sharing in Bangladesh.
The event featured an insightful experience-sharing session, allowing attendees to garner
expertise from industry professionals. On the event's second day, MD. Al Faud, Chief Marketing
& Sales Officer of ColoCity Limited, shared his valuable insights. Following his presentation, MD.
Abeed Hossain Chowdhury, Project Manager, BARC, expressed his satisfaction and positive
experiences with Huawei's products and solutions.

interaction among the guests followed by a gala dinner.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Sirajganj Economic Zone and Australia Bangladesh Business Forum (ABBF) to attract foreign investment.
Under this MoU, the two organizations will work jointly to attract investment from Australia and expatriate Bangladeshis living there in the Sirajganj Economic Zone and other economic zones in Bangladesh.
The MoU was signed at a function at the BEZA office in city Agargaon area.
MARRAKESH, Morocco: The International Monetary Fund
(IMF) has projected the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth for Bangladesh at
six percent for the current fiscal 2023-24 (FY24).
The IMF also revised upward its projections for Bangladesh growth to six
percent for the fiscal year 2022-23 from its previous forecast of 5.5
percent, according to its World Economic Outlook released today.
Bangladesh government has set the target at 7.5 percent for FY24.
The IMF has forecast the headline Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation in
Bangladesh to 7.2 percent in FY24.
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce
and Industry (FBCCI), the apex trade organization of the country, has
launched its new office in the capital Gulshan today.
Prime Minister Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman
officially inaugurated the FBCCI branch office at Tower of Aakash on Gulshan
Avenue in the capital this afternoon.
FBCCI former presidents Mahbubur Rahman, Abdul Awal Mintoo, Mir Nasir
Hossain, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Md. Jashim Uddin, and other distinguished
guests attended the inauguration ceremony.
