GPH Ispat achieves AEO certification

GPH Ispat Limited, one of the leading steel rebar manufacturers in the country, has been recognized as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) by the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
The recognition was awarded at an event held at the Multipurpose Hall of the National Board of Revenue, where Bangladesh Customs introduced its modernization initiatives, the Customs Strategic Plan 2024-28, the integration of the AEO module into the ASYCUDA World System and the inauguration of the Export-Import Hub. On behalf of GPH Ispat, the honor was received by the company Managing Director, Mr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam.
By achieving this recognition, GPH Ispat has demonstrated its strong commitment to adhering to international trade policies and supply chain security. As a result, the customs clearance process will become more efficient, operational costs will be effective, and the company credibility and acceptance in international trade will be further strengthened. This milestone is expected to reinforce GPH Ispat leading position in the country industrial and export sector.
GPH Ispat manufactures world-class rebar and billets using the most advanced Quantum Electric Arc Furnace technology. As part of its contribution to the national economy, the company exports billets to China, one of the leading steel-producing nations, unlocking new opportunities for Bangladesh export sector.
This recognition by the National Board of Revenue will further enhance the export capabilities of the country industrial enterprises and position Bangladesh more competitively positioning in the global market.

RTG Invest $30M in advanced STS cranes

RSGT Bangladesh, the first privately-owned container terminal in the country, is proud to announce a further significant investment in its terminal infrastructure. Following the recent acquisition of 14 Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGs) for USD 26 million, RSGT Bangladesh is making an additional investment of approximately USD 30 million in four state-of-the-art Ship-to-Shore (STS) Cranes.
The new STS cranes, procured from SANY Marine Heavy Industry, equipped with the latest technological innovations enable RSGT Bangladesh to efficiently handle the largest vessels calling at the Port of Chittagong. Their deployment in early 2026 will increase RSGT Bangladesh annual container handling capacity from 250,000 TEUs to 600,000 TEUs, significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing logistics costs.
