Synovia pharma seeks government intervention

Synovia Pharma PLC authorities are seeking intervention from the government for the atrocities at their headquarters by the ex-employees. They broke in and vandalised the properties and harmed innocent employees, despite court orders.
They stated this on Tuesday at a press conference held at Wings Center in Dhanmondi, read a press release.
On August 7, former employees of Synovia Pharma entered the company headquarters, assaulted the employees, and caused property damage. In response to this situation, the company held a press conference, appealing to the Home Advisor and law enforcement agencies for justice.

Private sector will work hand in hand with interim government: ICCB President

Welcoming the decision to choose Dr Mohammad Yunus as the head of the interim government, International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh (ICCB) President Mahbubur Rahman has said Bangladesh private sector will work hand in hand with the interim government to rebuild the country economy.
“The main driving force in the country economy is the private sector, so the government must take special initiatives to develop this sector,” he told reporters in a statement on Wednesday on the current situation in Bangladesh and the role of businesses.
Rahman said they heartily congratulate the anti-discrimination students for achieving this historic victory through an unprecedented movement.
“This movement was accelerated by the solidarity of the teaching community and common people,” he added.

RMG factories open today

All RMG sector related association including Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) have decided to open all factories for production.
BGMEA Director Mohiuddin Rubel told The Shuttle Times that BGMEA took the decision at an emergency meeting held between 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday.
“In view of the prevailing situation, the owners are requested to keep all the garment factories across the country closed until further notice, keeping in mind the overall safety and security of the workers,” Mohiuddin Rubel said.
