Planned urbanisation crucial to attain resilient urban economies

RANGPUR: Officials and experts at a discussion today stressed on planned urbanisation to build eco-friendly cities as drivers of growth and recovery to attain resilient urban economies.
They expressed the view at the post-rally discussion arranged in observance of the World Habitat Day-2023 with the theme of "Resilient Urban Economies: Cities as Drivers of Growth and Recovery" at the Town Hall auditorium in the city.

National Girl Child Day celebrated in Bhola

BHOLA: The National Girl Child Day-2023 was celebrated in the district today with a view to developing girl children as worthy citizens for building a prosperous Bangladesh.
The National Daughters Day is observed every year in the country on September 30 to show the importance of daughters.
This year theme of the day is "Investment Priority, Daughter Rights" (Biniyogey Ogradhikar, Konya Shishur Odhikar).
