ICMAB holds freshers orientation in Khulna

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), Khulna Branch Council (KBC), organized a colorful orientation programme for the newly admitted students of the July-December 2023 session on September 20 at CMA Bhaban in Khulna.
Abdur Rahman Khan, President of ICMAB, was present at the programme as the chief guest.
In his speech, Rahman appreciated the decisions of the newly admitted students in choosing the CMA profession. He presented a clear picture of the Country need for professional accountants, said a press release today.

Book fair begins in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH: A seven-day long divisional book fair was inaugurated in the town today.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid inaugurated the fair at a function held on Town Hall premises this afternoon.
In his speech K M Khalid urged students and youths to read books to acquire knowledge.

MEHERPUR: A court here today sentenced a man to life- term imprisonment under Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking Act 2012.
District and Sessions Judge Md Tahidul Islam handed down the verdict to Masud Rana, hailed from Abhaynagar upazila in Jashore district.

Hello KMP app launched to ensure services for citizens

KHULNA: Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) has launched "Hello KMP" app to facilitate access to various services, including emergency national services, online GD, clearance, passport verification, news portal and web-portal.
KMP commissioner Md Mozammel Haque inaugurated the app at a press briefing held at the KMP headquarters in the city this afternoon.
He said services such as national emergency services, including important phone numbers, online GD, police clearance, passport verification update, traffic and weather update, security clearance; travel, etc can be easily accessed through the app.
