Free medical camp held in Naogaon

NAOGAON: A medical camp was organized in the town today on the occasion of National Mourning Day-2023.
The medical camp organized by Naogaon Welfare Association kicked off at 4 pm in Barunkandi area that ended up at 6 am. As many as 200 patients have been provided free medical services at the camp.

Shop fined Tk 20,000 in Bhola for selling polybags

BHOLA: A mobile court in a drive here realized Taka 20,000 as fine from the owner of M/S Akhi Store for selling banned polythene in Borhanganj Madhya Bazar area under Borhanuddin upazila of the district today.
The court also seized 243 kgs of banned polythene from the store.

Construction of a foot-over bridge progressing first, another will begin soon in Khulna

KHULNA: Construction of a foot-over bridge in front of Khulna University (KU) is progressing fast and another will begin soon in front of Govt Brozo Lal College to reduce traffic congestion and smooth movement of the students of these two higher educational institutions of Khulna.
The construction work of the bridge in front of the main gate of Khulna University (KU) has already been started at a cost of Taka 3.93 crore on Khulna-Satkhira highway.
Besides, the construction work of the other foot-over bridge in front of Govt Brozolal College on Khulna-Jashore highway will be started very soon at a cost of around Taka 3.55 crore, Officials of the Road and Highways Department Khulna told BSS today.
