    BB Governor visited Bara diabetic hospital
    Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Md. Abdur Rauf Talukdar and Deputy Speaker Advocate Shamsul Haq Tuku visited Bara diabetic hospital located at Bera Dukbanglow Ghat area in Pabna district recently. BB Governor Abdur Rauf Talukdar assured the hospital authority that he will contribute to Bera diabetic hospital which might be positive in future. Deputy Speaker, Advocate Shamsul Haq Tuku conveyed thanks to the Bangladesh Bank Governor as he played a great role in construction of diabetic hospital at Bera. Among others, Bera pouro Mayor Advocate Ashif Shams Ranjan, MD Murshidul Islam, UNO Bera, Land donor professor Altaf Hossain Sarker , Md. Al-Mahmud Sarker, president, Bara Nagorik Committee, Md. Abdur Rajjak, principal Bera government college, MD. Jafor Ullah Dulal, former principal Bera College, Advocate Aminul Islam Potol, M A Hannan, Newly elected president, Bara press club and Abdul Salam Khan, a member of diabetic samiti, were present during his visit.

    Online blood donor team supports blood seekers
    Online Blood donor team donated at least 6 thousand bags blood across the country as the part of social work.
    The founder and Director Kazal Chisim said the Business Eye that they have organised at least 40 free blood collection camps across the country to support the patients who need immediate blood for surviving their lives.
    The Director said that around 10 thousand people of all ages have been tested for free blood group.
    Many Non Governmental Organisation including Mymensingh Sahitya Sangsad, Manav Kalyan Forum, Nandail Narsunda Blood Donate Society Gazipur, SB Blood Donation Foundation Durgapur, Ekta Blood Social Organization and Brahmaputra Blood Foundation Mymensingh gave mementos in recognition for their voluntary blood donation programme, he added.
    He informed that developing countries like Bangladesh require five to seven lakh bags of blood annually, of which only 31 percent is available through voluntary blood donors. The rest of the blood is mostly collected through professional blood donors and relatives and friends.

    The biennial election of Bera press club was held on Friday at the club room.
    The newly elected of Bera press club are as; Md. Ruhul Amin, vice president, Md. Rafiqul Islam sun, joint secretary, Md. Wahiduzzaman, cashier, Md. Manik Hossain, office secretary, Md. Rifatul Alam, sports secretary, and Md.Atikul Islam, media secretary.
    Md. Hafizul Islam, former Vice president, was present as election commissioner.

    Freelancers struggles addressed in freelance meetup held in Mymensingh
    Country popular mobile financial service provider upay has recently organized a freelancer meetup in Mymensingh, where discussion was held on the various challenges that freelancers face regularly, and the possible ways to overcome them.
    The session underscored the need for addressing the various issues, and how upay and United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) are actively working to enhance convenience for these freelancers.
    The meetup was organized at BRAC Learning Centre, Mymensingh. 75+ freelancers from the region participated in the event to discuss the problems they face and work out solutions.
    Themed as Freelancers Contribution to Building Smart Bangladesh and MFS as Growth Facilitator, the event focused on different pertinent issues related to freelancing, like payment issues through banking channels and lack of recognition.
    Speeches by three freelancers discussed these problems and emphasized the need for solutions. They also highlighted its importance in materializing Smart Bangladesh vision and mentioned the role of banks and MFS providers in facilitating the freelancers.
