    Huawei Starts Providing Housing Support to Flood-victims
    The recent Flood in Bangladesh has caused unprecedented destruction, impacting over thousands of families without Homes. Many families have lost their shelters and spending miserable days with their elders and children. To assist few of these families, Huawei Bangladesh has started the second phase of its flood relief initiative this year.
    In this second phase, Huawei will build houses on the land of flood victims and deliver to them free of cost. This Week four families of Parshuram, Feni have received houses from Huawei. The first four recipients are Ahsan Ullah, Shahidul Islam, Mustafa, and Delwar.
    Lin Hai (Haven), Board Member, Huawei South Asia, formally handed over the houses to the flood-victims at their locality. Ahmed Imtiaz Jami, Founder and President of Obhizatrik Foundation was also present. In a recent future 21 more families will get same facility.
    In this flood relief campaign Huawei has collaborated with Obhizatrik Foundation, a non-profit organization. Here, Huawei provides the funding for the flood relief campaign and Obhizatrik Foundation selects the recipients, coordinates with them.
    Besides this, Huawei has been running several medical camps from August in flood-affected areas. The medical camps offered doctors advice, medicines, water purification kits, clean water, and other necessary medical support to the victims free of cost. Around 2000 people are taking medical care from these medical camps every day.
    Huawei has been participating in such humanitarian works through its corporate social responsibility activities in Bangladesh for the last 26 years. During natural disasters, Huawei actively extendes support to the people of Bangladesh according to its motto, In Bangladesh, For Bangladesh.

    Law and order meeting held
    A law and order review meeting was held at Bera model Thana on Thursday.
    Pabna Superintend of Police Md. Mortoza Ali Khan was present as chief guest in the meeting.
    One minute silence was observed in the remembrance for Anti-Discrimination martyr.
    Among others, M A Hannan, president, Bera press club, Abu Zar Gifari, a media personal, Khaja, Jubodal leader spoke.
    Chief guest Mortoza Ali said, Awami League led govt misused the police forced to tackle their illegal activities.
    He informed that a large number of police personals were killed in the July-August incidents.
    He also urged common people to keep a good atmosphere in upcoming Durga puja.

    Navy chief visits Khulna, Bhola districts
    Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan has inspected the overall security, and law and order situation, protection of state infrastructures and operations of joint forces in Khulna and Bhola districts.
    He visited Khulna and Bhola districts today as part of his countrywide visit to monitor the security, and law and order situation at the grassroots amid the current situation, said an Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) press release here.
    During his visit, the Navy chief exchanged views with the naval contingents, local administrations and law enforcement agencies.

    iFarmer lands series A funding led by Razor Capital
    iFarmer, the largest agritech startup, received an investment from the emerging market-focused venture capital firm Razor Capital. This investment is part of Razor Capital Series A funding, which recognizes the importance of agritech sector in Bangladesh as a key sector to help farmers with financial inclusion and position iFarmer to become the largest network of agriculture value chain actors in Bangladesh.
    Through its latest investment into iFarmer, Razor Capital has doubled down on its commitment to Bangladesh. Oussama Glilah, Managing Partner of Razor Capital, who has access to extensive agriculture knowledge through his family-owned business, Fresh Del Monte (NYSE: FDP), has joined the board of directors of iFarmer as a full board member.
