
Classes at Dhaka University (DU) resumed on Sunday after more than three months of closure due to unrest centering student-led movement.
The campus including Arts building, Social Science Faculty premises, Madhur Canteen, TSC regained its familiar look with the gathering of students since morning.
Students expressed their relief and joy after returning to classes after a long break.
However, the academic activities of the first year students are scheduled to begin on September 30.

All government employees must submit their wealth statement by November 30 this year, said Senior Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration Md Mokhlesur Rahman on Sunday .
He shared this information at a press conference held on the submission of wealth statement by public employees.
From the next year the deadline will be December 31, he said.
He said 15 lakh government employees are required to submit their asset declarations to the relevant ministries and authorities in accordance with the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1979. “While the deadline for asset declarations will typically be December 31, this year deadline is November 30,” he said.

Adviser to the interim government on the Ministries of Finance and Commerce Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today said that the decision to export hilsa fish to India was taken after making deep consideration and also for the greater interest.
“I can assure . . . the decision was taken after making deep consideration. And I have got heavy appreciation for this,” he said.

There will be no meeting between Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, as the two leaders schedules do not align.
Diplomatic sources in Dhaka and New Delhi confirmed to UNB that Modi is expected to leave the United States before Prof. Yunus arrives in New York. It seems there is no possibility as Modi is going there a bit early while Chief Adviser Yunus is going there a bit late, Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain said when asked about the likelihood of a meeting between the two leaders.
Modi embarked on a three-day visit to the United States on Saturday, where he will participate in the Quad Summit hosted by US President Joe Biden in Wilmington and address the Summit of the Future at the UNGA in New York.
In a departure statement, Modi said, “I look forward to joining my colleagues President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese, and Prime Minister Kishida for the Quad Summit.”
