The number of students assisting with traffic control on Dhaka roads has decreased significantly as police have resumed full duties. On Tuesday, students were observed at a few intersections between Rampura and Malibagh in the city, while traffic police managed most of the work. In Malibagh, for instance, traffic policemen were actively directing traffic at an intersection, with students standing nearby on the footpath. A committee has been established to revise the uniform and logo of the Bangladesh Police. The committee was formed on Monday, according to a memorandum from the Health, Welfare, and Pension Branch of the Police Headquarters. The 10-member committee has been instructed to submit its report within seven working days, the memorandum stated.
