JAKARTA, Indonesia: President Mohammed Shahabuddin today sought urgent global actions to find durable solutions to the Rohingya issue as any delay in safe, voluntary and sustainable repatriation of displaced Myanmar nationals may put the entire region at risk. "It is the collective responsibility of the international community to find a durable solution to the Rohingya crisis in its place of origin in Myanmar," he said. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today that Moscow and Dhaka have agreed to intensify the bilateral ties along with increasing trade and investment cooperation. "Today, we have agreed to intensify our bilateral context in all sphere," Lavrov told a joint media briefing after his bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen at a city hotel here this evening.
